Briana is stable and steady, calm and collected. She rolls with the punches, which is an important skill to have in this business and mightily appreciated and admired by her teammates. Keenly intuitive, she has a great sense of humor and can crack a joke at just the right moment to make everyone laugh. Briana was born and raised on the Westside of Santa Cruz and loves taking long walks on West Cliff Drive. She keeps in top-notch physical shape by participating in Cross Fit and Yoga. And did we mention taking care of a toddler (Naina), a teenager (Sayali) and working full-time?
Since joining SSA in 2009, Briana has assisted our team on a wide variety of public projects and she enjoys the challenges each project poses. Her varied interests, from urban design to sustainability, have contributed to her holistic view on the field of landscape architecture. She is both a skilled technician and talented designer. She holds a USGBC Certification as a LEED AP and serves as the team resource related to all LEED-certified projects. Briana has a Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture from the California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. She is a licensed Landscape Architect.

Our projects are located throughout California and have won national, statewide, and regional awards since SSA was founded 33 years ago. Our projects include parks and recreation, open space and trails, sports facilities, K-12 education, college campuses, corporate campuses, healthcare, public works and high-end residential.
Currently, we are recruiting for landscape designers and architects with four to six years of experience. Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, LandFX, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite experience and a bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture are the minimum requirements for the current positions. Applicants must have at least two years of experience working in the many microclimates of Northern and Central California.
